Self-led Retreats in France

Space is occasionally made available at Tourne for those wishing to undertake a self-led retreat for the advancement of their personal practice, without the need for others to be present to support them.

For those wishing to deepen their practice, independently and reliant upon their own resources, the space is available. Dependent upon season and weather restrictions, the main studio, medicine Buddha studio and meditation room will be available, subject to one or two hours a day when one space will be restricted. There will always be space available in at least one of the studios or the meditation room and the garden.

Yogis will need to be fully independent in the house and in their practice and self-sufficient during their stay, providing their own food and catering for themselves in the fully equipped dining room. Garden produce will be made available freely if it is available, subject to season.

The space and the opportunity will offer rest, high quality nourishment, walks in unpolluted forests, silence or gentle speech.

Undertaking your own self-led retreat is an important step on the path to freedom. To have the confidence to make good use of available space is an essential foundation for those who live busy lives. It is also an important skill to have when deepening into spiritual practice, when trying to break through the barriers that keep us tied to our habit patterns.

People from other disciplines and practices, as well as those who have worked with Ram, will derive benefit.

Participants will be asked what the basis of their retreat will be so that practice space can be allocated and to ensure the suitability of a personal proposed programme. Those who are unsure are invited to make use of Ram’s offer to collaborate with them in advance to prepare a programme at an additional charge.
