How to get to Tourné

ourné is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, 2 miles north of the village of Castelnau Durban (road number D117). Castelnau Durban is 25 kilometres west of Foix (the administrative centre of the Ariège). Foix is on the main train line from Toulouse, which is a 20 minute shuttle bus or taxi ride from Toulouse airport.
For Flights Arriving at Toulouse
Trains leave Toulouse for Foix roughly once an hour, usually at ten minutes to the hour. Please bear in mind that Tourné is situated in a rural part of France and public transport, though reliable, tends to close down early.
We highly recommend arriving at Toulouse early during the day and in any event not later than in good time to catch the 18:50 train from Toulouse to Foix. This will require that your plane lands at Toulouse airport not less than 90 minutes before the 18:50 train.
Travelling from Toulouse Airport to Toulouse Train Station
Taxis are available outside the Toulouse airport terminal building and will cost around 20 Euros. A shuttle bus (“la navette”) operates outside the terminal building and runs at 15, 35 and 55 minutes past the hour costing around 5 Euros. Tickets can be bought at the kiosk. The journey time to take you to Toulose train station is at least 20 minutes depending on traffic. These buses are usually on time give or take 10 minutes! Trains are usually always punctual. There is an English speaking kiosk in the main ticket office of the train station.
Travelling from Foix to Castelnau Durban and Tourné
The journey time by train from Toulouse to Foix is 75 minutes. Once at Foix you will need to either walk to the post office, ring for a taxi or wait for our pre-booked collection.

Buses from Foix to Castelnau Durban leave at 12:30 every weekday and Saturday; on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday there is also a bus at 17:10; on Wednesday the additional bus is at 17:45 Monday there are additional buses at 17:15 and 18:30. The bus stop is behind the main post office, which is a 15 minute walk from the train station. The bus costs about 5 Euros. From Castelnau Durban, telephone us and we will collect you (no charge).
Taxis are available from Foix to Tourné but they are very rarely available outside the train station. To call a taxi use one of the many numbers on display inside the train station at Foix. Alternatively try any of the following: 0561 68 27 65; 0680 37 48 65; 0561 67 48 37; 0608 28 16 32; 0661 64 17 47; 0561 02 86 50. A taxi from Foix to Tourné will cost about 45 Euros.

Please note the latest arrival time at Tourné is strictly 21:00 hrs.
If you do land at Toulouse too late to get to Tourné in time, there are airport hotels (shuttle bus required or taxi) or there are hotels within 5 minutes walk of the train station. It’s recommended that you start your journey in good time to arrive at Foix, remembering that the latest practical train available leaves Toulouse at 18:50.
Return Journeys
Make sure your flight departs late afternoon or early evening form Toulouse to allow sufficient travelling time from Tourné, especially at weekends.
